Challenge
Which challenge did the project bring? The biggest engineering goal was integrating the new boiler flue system into an older building. This new system had to specifically deal with flue gas temperatures below 200 degrees Celsius and the resulting condensation. In addition, safety and structural support of the duct within the existing architecture were of great importance. The entire project required precision and detailed planning.
Solution
To make our projects even more effective, Schiedel regularly cooperates with different boiler manufacturers (such as Bosch, Viessmann, Vaillant and Remeha). This was also the case for this project. Schiedel applied the MF system which is perfectly suited for these conditions. The diameter of the duct was accurately calculated based on the amount of flue gases to be discharged per hour. To solve the condensation problem, the system was installed at an angle of 3 degrees, with the correct and safe bracing, allowing the condensation water formed to drain easily. Proper preparation and modifications to the initial drawings by Schiedel's in-house engineering department ensured an efficient process.
The Customer
The end customer is now assured of the availability of industrial process heat thanks to the installation of the new boiler. The cooperation with the boiler manufacturer, and the design and supply of a safe flue gas duct by Schiedel, has been essential for the business continuity of this candle wax plant. The result is a durable and reliable solution that meets all expectations.
