Challenge
The required exhaust systems had to demonstrate exceptional resistance to high temperatures, as well as to the potential corrosion and long-term wear caused by food processing vapors. Furthermore, the flues required a large cross-sectional diameter and had to comply with the site’s stringent fire safety regulations. Consequently, it was essential to provide certified fire-resistant ducting with an EI 120 rating.
Solution
Our dedicated installation crews provided and installed two ICS (500 mm diameter) insulated stainless steel exhaust systems, characterized by their high-density insulation and extreme temperature resistance.
The ICS range is certified for EI 120 fire resistance. For a fully secure installation, we utilized dedicated fire-rated wall and roof penetration plates, guaranteeing the integrity of the building’s fire compartments and eliminating fire risks at all crossing points.
